About

Postdoctoral Fellow | Aspiring Assistant Professor
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
I am a dedicated scientist passionate about advancing cancer research and inspiring the next generation of scientists. With a strong foundation in molecular biology, cell signaling, and three-dimensional culture models, I aim to bridge cutting-edge research with impactful teaching in a primary undergraduate institution. My goal is to foster curiosity, inclusivity, and critical thinking among students while conducting translational cancer research that can make a real-world difference.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where I develop immunocompetent models to study neuroblastoma. My research explores lineage heterogeneity and the influence of 3D culture systems on cell states, advancing our understanding of cancer progression and metastasis.
My academic journey began at the University of Warsaw, where I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in molecular biology. I then completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the PI3K signaling pathway in prostate cancer progression. Over the years, I have contributed to understanding cellular communication, cancer biology, and tumor microenvironments through research positions at world-renowned institutions, including the Babraham Institute and Harvard Medical School.
Beyond research, I am deeply committed to teaching and mentoring. During my PhD, I organized inclusive conferences, developed hands-on workshops, and led student committees to promote diversity in science. I also have teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania and enjoy working closely with students and early-career scientists to nurture their potential.
As I plan my transition to an academic role, I aim to establish a vibrant research program integrating undergraduate education with innovative cancer research. My vision includes leveraging my expertise in 3D culture models, cell signaling, and immunocompetent systems to inspire and train future scientists while advancing therapies for pediatric cancers.

When not in the lab, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my 10-pound dog Malpa (which means "monkey" in Polish), running, knitting, cooking Polish food for my friends, and watching The Simpsons.
